We, in the SBC, have so aligned with the GOP that the biblical orthodoxy of those who do not support Trump and the party is doubted.

People are labeled liberal for their politics - all in the name of the sufficiency of scripture.

Weird world.

Following your conscience by not voting Trump doesn't make you liberal. Caring about immigrants doesn't make you liberal. Opposing racism isn't liberal. Seeking justice for abused women isn't liberal.

When you can't make a decent argument for your position, the easy way out is to brand people liberal or leftist.

Whole networks are being formed to LIE about the beliefs of others. People who are inerrantists, who uphold Christ and the gospel are being labeled liberal for political disagreements or minor theological issues.

It isn't right.

The division this causes dishonors Christ and hinders our work.
