UEFA Launched its own "investigation",even though it is said they had already planned to impose the ban on city way before the investigation started,and just like city stated:
"Simply put, this is a case initiated by UEFA, prosecuted by UEFA and judged by UEFA. With this prejudicial process now over, the Club will pursue an impartial judgment ..."
UEFA held city accountable for two charges:
1)of falsely inflating sponsorship revenues when making submissions as part of the Financial Fair Play (FFP) compliance process.
2)of breaching regulations by failing to cooperate in the investigation of the case by the (CFCB).

not only the judgement was impartial, UEFA is a contract system,a federation associations which are also basically contractual entities (though with some statutory powers and restrictions). UEFA procedures aren’t governed by admin/criminal law.

its time for city to prove they did not mislead uefa showing financial paperworks which soriano himself is confident of proving according to his statement.

firstly,according to leaks,city wanted the upperhand,someone lobbying for them to get them the result,they went to nikolas sarkozy,former french president in 2014 to help them out..it is not stated in the leaks however how he helped city...he is also a big fan of psg apparently
in 2014,Soriano apparently had a phone call with infantino and agreed on how to brief the lawyers and get an agreement,but the sheikh was having none of it...
he was unwilling to pay any fine in 2014 and
khaldoon apparently told he would rather spent 30 million to sue them for 10 years..but they later did agree to fine as City was repaid 2/3 of the fine itself later on.

this was a serious threat by CFG apparently,according to leaks Secretary Simon Cliff at that point was considering drowning UEFA in paperwork at trial, with the intention of suing Platini and Infantino in a Swiss court for abuse of power and conflict of interest.
conclusion(personal opinion)
As a city fan what i can see is this is not a case of ffp breach,this is a case of protecting own interests,what uefa have to do at CAS is to "accuse" city of misleading uefa after the "leaks"

if City wins the case,the leak itself becomes invalid as city proved themselves not guilty,while UEFA will say ,hey,we did try to hold them accountable,they are just not guilty.. and credibilty of uefa's procedures will still be valid
if uefa wins however,city might cause some implications to uefa that will not be so good,and many big names in the fotballing body might be in trouble.
and this case is not only about holding City accountable,other clubs that are in question will also be in trouble,like i said,many club's interests will conflict...
however credibility of ffp is also in question here,with recently big names like arsene wenger questioned it's credibility....clubs secretly do not like it too...there is a chance that ffp might be abolished and a new set of rules might be introduced
All of this happened because the leaks were put into context by Der Spiegel in such a way that suggests city did sth wrong.....City will be cleared of everything Der Spiegel accused City of if they win the case
Nobody can question the judgement of CAS btw,an independent investigating body with no outer influence....City just needs to show that they helped uefa in uefa's investigation.
