Let me break down why this is a bullshit apology.

1) Not the passive phrasing. "the negative experiences they had." Not 'how they were treated', not 'their mistreatment'. This is precisely the passive, 'it is what it is' phrasing I talked about replying to Orion's initial post. https://twitter.com/Wizards_DnD/status/1281623293561196545
2) "Their statement is being taken seriously" implies the perspective that this is an isolated incident, and not part of a systemic issue that is the result of, among other things, an entirely White leadership team.

3) "An opportunity to improve the experiences of" <-- This
is the kind of sentence you put at the end of a customer complaint letter, not a whistleblowing statement backing up several OTHER whistleblowing statements from marginalized creators about the culture of exploitation and silencing at @Wizards_DnD
Moving onto the second tweet: https://twitter.com/Wizards_DnD/status/1281623294228049921

4) "We're not perfect". This makes my blood boil. The number of times I've seen someone use this phrase as a way to minimize the severity of their offense. This is deflection, pure and simple.
5) "The ongoing dialogue with the community..." You mean the dialogue where we discuss, expound at length wrt your years of offenses and mistreatment, for you to remain silent and periodically release a boilerplate statement.
6) "We remain committed to making D&D an inclusive.." You've committed to nothing. No specifics. Your leadership is still a bunch of cis White men. No transparency about your contrast structure. No placing marginalized voices IN CHARGE, not just as contractors.
7) "supporting voices of ppl from all backgrounds". Interesting. Bc the statements by Ashley Warren, by Zaiem Beg, by Orion Black, all indicate that the only thing you've remained committed to is silencing those voices from speaking out or even associating w/ those critical of-->
Wizards of the Coast. You do not support us. You exploit and profit from our images and our work, and the same goddamn people as always reap the benefits.
Here's a piece of consultation for you, and you don't even have to pay me for this one. @ChrisPerkinsDnD @JeremyECrawford @winningerR stop hiding behind your PR/social media team.

Orion's letter states they knew they were supported by their co-workers. It's not "WotC" as-->
a whole that's the problem. If things change, they start from the top. Get on @Wizards_DnD 's Twitch channel. You want a dialogue with the community? Cool. Let's CHAT.

You are the leadership there. You are some of the most well-paid and have the most power. Step up.
