Lady Antebellum wanted them both to go by the name Lady A, promising Lady A’s brand and music wouldn’t get buried. Lady A says that was a promise the band couldn’t keep. You can’t find her music when you search Lady A.
Lady A has gone under the name for 20 years. Lady Antebellum trademarked the name ten years ago. That’s going to be the legal fight.
This is a PR nightmare for Lady Antebellum. I don’t see how they come out of this looking like they didn’t use/try to use their power and resources over a black artist with less power and resources AFTER saying black lives matter to them. It all feels disingenuous at this point.
