I ran campaigns in New Jersey for 15 years. Here are the facts about mail in voting:

Fact: Absentee ballots are mail-in-ballots.

Fact: Mail in voting is free. In person voting may require people to drive, take off work, park, wait in long lines, etc.

Fact: Ballot messengers can’t turn in infinite ballots. They are only allowed to turn in 10. Their ID is checked to verify identity when they get to the clerks office and they have to sign an affidavit.

Fact: people are instructed to seal their ballots and mark clearly. If a ballot looks tampered or is written on, it will be thrown out.

Fact: People move then vote at their original polling location for years, and others. Can’t do that when your ballot is mailed.

Fact: Mail-in voting is safer than the polls because campaigns can have “challengers,” at the polling locations and challenge ANYONE who comes in to vote. By race, by dress, by look, for ANY reason. Usually that vote gets counted provisionally.

Fact: Tampering with U.S. mail or mail theft is a federal felony, stopping someone from voting at the polls isn’t even a crime. Pulling the fire alarm at a polling location is a misdemeanor, campaigning in a polling location is a fine, but usually a warning first.

Fact: Senior citizens have been using mail-in-voting for decades. Their vote is always counted, ask the #AARP

Fact: Mail-in voting saves time and the environment.

Fact: No campaign could ever track or steal 70M ballots. EVER! IMPOSSIBLE!!

Fact: County clerks usually have to scramble to find poll workers, leaving them short staffed and leaving communities underserved.

Fact: #Trump and the @GOP are lying to you.
