I know there are varying outlooks on coronavirus but reality sets in a bit when you’ve had a family member that was hospitalized with it and you then must make a decision whether to send your kids back to school. The chances of death are super small but the issue to me is
whether you can afford to have one family member potentially sick and quarantined for a month in your household. I commend my govenor @GovRonDeSantis for showing great leadership on this issue but the reality is that many are still getting sick and are down for weeks. This is
different than the flu where the average down time is 3 to 7 days. The restrictions they are putting on kids returning to schools are going to be Impossible for the kids to maintain.

What if @realDonaldTrump signed an EO giving families the option to obtain and take HCQ before
school starts? With all the concerns we have about antibiotics, this would seem to be the best way to take proactive measures and get out ahead of the problem. It’s a challenge for families where both parents work and for single parent homes. It seems making HCQ available
would go a long way to mitigate these problems.

Kids are not immune to coronavirus unfortunately. Yes, there are many situations involving false positives or fraudulent tests, but there are also many examples of kids contracting Coronavirus and spreading it to other kids.
while kids may be less likely to contract it, we’ve had friends whose kids have contracted it. The risk is real though small. The concerns for parents should not be dismissed as they are legitimate.
