Highkey it makes me very uncomfortable when people praise me for drawing fat/plus size/thicc bodies when the specific body in question looks something like this
The standards for what qualifies as "fat positive"..... very very very low. those standards are getting lower by the minute
I DO draw fat ppl. I am a fat ppl. And I appreciate those compliments- but getting compliments being like "i love how u draw thicc bodies" about figures that are literally thin to average... nah.
That body: that person exists, and they wear a size medium. They are real-world thin. They are not "thicc". They are not plus sized. This is a pretty standard body on the smaller end of the spectrum.
I think people get caught up on the details, which, I'm all about details. How skin gets squoze by the pressure of a bra, the occasional hip dip, the stretch marks... These are all things that apply to almost EVERY body.
You'll find 99% of women on the average to small end of the weight spectrum still have stretchmarks. Usually on their thighs, or their booty. It's not a fat-exclusive trait.
Anyways pls stop calling bodies like this "fat/thicc". Not because it's an insult, but because it's just not factual. And seeing a thin body being praised for its thiccness gives me hives.

Pls, save your compliments for REAL fat bodies, and ACTUAL fat art.
