Tottenham transfer window summer 2020, a thread:
Realistically, Tottenhams squad is very average and imo the 8th best in the league so needs big improvements. Spurs are lacking quality in the fullback positions, have no CDM or backup ST and have little to no creativity in the squad so Id want us to improve in these areas.
We all know that Daniel Levy is a tight fraud and is excessively bald so we need to manage our net spend well. This means we have to be ruthless and sack of some fan favourites to raise some funds so I’m sorry if I bin off your favourite player. Let’s start with the departures:

Everyone loves dele but we can’t keep waiting for him to rediscover his 2017 form, so it’s time for him to go. He’s still a young English talent so we could get between 45 and 60 million. I can imagine we may have to settle for around the 49mil mark.

Lamela has spent 7 years at spurs and I’m not sure what he’s actually done. He fights for the badge but at the end of the day he’s not good enough. Would sell for 11-20 mil.

He’s served us well for a couple of years but he really is a poor footballer. I can imagine he would be an attractive player for many Lower level premier league teams and I think 15 to 20 million would be suitable for a 30 year old.

Willian on a free transfer is a no brainer for me. He’s still performing pretty well in the prem and Jose has experience with him already, he offers more creativity and can take free kicks

Walker peters has performed well recently but I think we’ll have to sacrifice him to bring in Hojberg. We’ve needed a CDM for a while and although he isn’t my first choice I think his leadership is needed.

Left footed CB to partner Toby or Dier and a great replacement for Jan. We could struggle to get him if other clubs come in for him so we may need to find another left footed centre back. With Bournemouth going down I think 30-40m is reasonable

I think this is a transfer that could be hard to pull of but if we can do it I would be over the moon. Can attack and defend unlike our current fullbacks and is proven in the prem. I think Everton will make us pay atleast £55 million though.

This leaves us with a net spend of +£39.5 million ( give or take 10 million). I think this is possible if Levy is willing to make it happen, however I have heard reports saying we won’t have a positive net spend. In this case there are other player I would be willing to sell.
In this case I would consider selling:
Winks, Foyth and maybe Davinson Sanchez. Either way this is definitely achieve able if we are smart this summer, only concern being the wage bill increase.
