It's my birthday today, so I had a little spin to visit some of the local new street changes.

#RailtonRoad was lovely. Few drivers ignored the signs but most were compliant.
I went through the #OvalTriangleLTN which felt lovely.

The soundscape was noticeably different. A street cleaner was scraping the street clean. Two people chatting as they cycled past. The wind rustling the leaves of the trees. A workmen's laugh. The occasional car.
I then set off towards Old York road.

I paused here to think of #LuciaCiccioli. Killed in this spot by an HGV driver. Coroner's report asked the highways authorities to reduce the risk of harm by better design.

Still hasn't happened. We won't forget.
Past the boarded up Debenhams in Clapham Junction then down to Old York Road.

The sound again. Hairdryers blowing out of the open doors of the hairdressers. A mobile phone ringing. Chatter of conversations.

It's wonderful. I hope others may start to notice & feel the difference
Cycling back I headed along Heathfield road.

The throb of motor traffic contrasted with the spaces I had just moved through and from.

I turned to cut through Wandsworth Common. Children's laughter and footsteps were the sounds there.

Then onto @BellevilleBrew before home.
