Lots of folks confuse the concept of privilege with tangible measurable resources. Hence every few months some bommin friend will be like "Where I grew up, some dalits were rich and some brahmins were poor and nobody handed me anything hence brahminical privilege is a myth."
I have these arguments way more often than you'd think cos every few weeks some friend will be like "I read your tweets. Yes, black lives matter, white privilege is real, but bro what brahmin privilege? In college, I even got ragged by dalits
" and I can't ignore and leave it.

Cant walk away because I hear myself from 15 years ago. "Equality of opportunity not outcome" type. It's only because other friends were willing to engage, debate, and educate me patiently over the years that I started slowly seeing the light. So paying it forward.
