Was amused by @oolon attempts to come up with a word for the gender crit. So here's a short thread with my own suggestion: "dogmatose", a portmanteau word combining:

- dogmatic: promoting fixed principles as indisputably true

- comatose: in a state of political coma

Utter irresponsibility. Associating trans people to children's toys...like trains. Sticking a child atop a train (because that is irresponsible).

Centring a "naked toddler" (i kid you not), thereby proving all of the trans is pedo.

And the sword, clearly a threat to ALL women.

Not going to deconstruct in detail here. If you care enough you can do as i did and go to the flurry of responses to the tweet and to the lawyer tweet, which sorta highlighted how most of the terven had 100% utterly missed the point...

How "iliketrans" is a play on another popular meme "iliketrains", with which the OPoster is associated.

How the cartoon image references another popular cartoon meme, and is therefore to be read as such.

Ah yes: it is clearly a replica, clearly a geek accoutrement....

But outrage from a bunch of people who were approving one of their number lately posting proudly she would carry a knife with her into the wc, in case of trans women...

...from a bunch of people who early on in the current "debate" were approving a fairly prominent member of their campaign urging Milwall supporters to violence against trans women (i think baseball bats were mentioned)...

...outrage from a bunch of people whose political precursors had "debated" the sex war with other lesbians by turning up in masks and carrying crowbars.

Hmmm...hypocrisy, much. But back to the stupidity, which is what i think it was, over the OP...

I've noted, a few times lately, the utter absence of any creative instincts amongst gender crits. As though, on entrance, they have gender crit re-assignment surgery to remove their creative organs in their entirety.

Because a key part of creative thinking is the ability to understand that meaning is rarely singular, but multiple, and sits always at the centre of a complex semantic web which you need to understand, at least in part, before commenting

In this instance, i was not aware of many of the references but...it did not take me long to understand that they were there, whereupon it allowed me to realise the richness of the OP: how it worked on many different levels, and you needed to understand those levels to get the OP

And the opposite of creative thinking?

That would be the imposition of meaning on a person, or utterance from an external perspective, 100% adrift from all awareness of the framework within which they are operating.

Pretty much the entire terven project.

Hence,

Dogma: We know who you are because we (alone) know what you mean (fixed principles claimed as 100% true)

Coma: We know what you mean because we know who you are (Lazy/asleep at the wheel and can't be asked to find out more.

Dogmatose!

TLDR: We know best: and we're not going to do any work to find out we might not!

One last (comic) thought. Several of those stirring this pot by pointedly demonstrating their ignorance of topical cultural memes are senior legal peeps...of the sort who might one day be judges...

Judges like the now departed James Pickles who, tis alleged, once asked in court: "Who are the Beatles?"

Though this bunch of future judges will be asking more up to date questions. Like "Who are Oasis?"

"What's a fursona?"
