THREAD

We may be biased but we think our recreation sites are just beautiful and we know lots of you agree. đŸŒžđŸŒ» Our sites are open to be enjoyed by everyone so we ask everyone to please respect our sites and leave it in the condition you found it for the next person to enjoy.
Our catchment managers have been overwhelmed with litter, antisocial behaviour, fires and people swimming in reservoirs. If you do visit one of our sites please follow the guidance in this thread.
Come prepared! Thinking of having a picnic or taking the dog for a walk? đŸ¶ Why not bring some bin bags with you? Please keep the sites free of litter and remove all personal items when leaving. Please take your rubbish home to recycle. â™»ïžđŸšź
Please have respect for our catchment teams. ✅ They are trying to maintain our beautiful recreation sites and will ask visitors politely to stop if they are putting themselves or others at risk.
Please don’t remove, destroy or damage any of our recreation signage. Let’s work together to keep the sites beautiful for now and the future. 💙
Please park in designated areas, keep roads clear and do not block traffic. If there was an emergency you wouldn’t want to be responsible for stopping emergency traffic getting through. 🚑🚒🚹
Fires and BBQs must not be started, everyone must act responsibly and be careful as fire can spread very easily especially in hot weather. âŒđŸ”„
Please do not swim in reservoirs! âŒđŸŠâ€â™€ïžThey are very dangerous and full of hidden dangers which people are unaware off – from under water currents, hidden machinery, to freezing cold temperatures even on the hottest day, which can send your body into cold water shock.
Finally, please don’t put yourself or anyone else at risk when visiting and continue to follow government guidelines. Thank you! 💙
