Alexander The Great conquered almost all the known world of his time.

No other ruler of the ancient or modern world can make this claim.

What makes this even more remarkable is he achieved this in a 10-year reign.

Aristotle, a pupil of Plato, was the mentor of Alexander.

Alexander was constantly encouraged to be curious & think for himself and explore the surrounding him.

He even as a young boy showed great promise as a warrior and strategist.
Alexander was characterised by an insatiable desire for conquest, not just for the sake of power but to be IMMORTAL.

He openly claimed to be a descendent of Hercules and therefore Zeus himself.

His father too was vastly successful as a King and a Conquerer.
While young, he constantly felt his father hadn't left anything for him to conquer. He would soon prove himself wrong.

Even approaching manhood he would fight so fiercely that his reputation preceded him and many armies would surrender without a battle.
He inspired his soldiers' loyalty who would be in awe of his strategic and tactical genius.

Alexander wouldn't have succeeded without the support and loyalty of his soldiers.
He secured this through his skilful oratory and by leading them from the front.

Plus after battles, he would literally tend to his solders wounds and offer comfort and support. Supportwise this was a game-changer for him.

He was taught medicine by Aristotle himself.
The archnemesis of Alexander was King Darius of Persia.

Killing Darius was vital for Alexander to be named "The King of Asia"

In the first battle, even after being outnumbered 2 to 1, Alexander managed to stun Darius, forcing him into wastelands.
Alexander captured the royal household including Darius' mother, wife, son and daughter.

But he ordered that they be unharmed and continue to receive Royal Treatment.

This was one of the most admirable qualities of Alexander, making his rule almost welcome.
He didn't try to erase the cultural or religious identity of the kingdoms he conquered.

He wouldn't mindlessly or in a destructive way, loot the farms and other valuables from the cities he conquered.

For this reason, he would secure the loyalty and good-will of the conquered.
Time and time again, his troops had seen their commander Alexander do the impossible, and more importantly, they had done the impossible under his leadership.

The result was a supremely confident army with complete faith in their commander.
Earlier in life, Alexander had said that he has little interest in sex.

Remarking that it was only sex and sleep that reminded him he was mortal.

(MIND=BLOWN)
Death of Alexander.

His punctured lung, an extensive drinking habit (characteristic of Macedonians), difficult an exhausting journeys, and constant warfare would all have taken their toll on 32 yo Alexander.
On his deathbed, when Alexander was asked who should be his heir, his reply was - "The Strongest."
Alexander receives mention in both the Bible and Quoran.

In the book of Daniel, he's referred to as the Man who divided the world into 4 kingdoms.

In Islam, he's the "Two horned man."

This could be a reference to coinage minted in Persia showing Alexander with horns to mirror-
-his divine father Zeus-Ammon.

It could equally be a show of hatred felt for the man who tore down the power of the Persian Empire.
