What is Spirituality (thread)

If you’re completely new to Spirituality and awakening you might wonder, “what exactly is Spirituality?”, “is it just another religion?”.
I will explain as easy as possible what spirituality is, now, not everyone sees this the same way since it’s a very individualized experience. What I mean by that is that two individuals, even if they follow the same teachings etc, can both have a completely different experience.
This is true for everything, but even more so with spirituality since it’s so personal and intimate, it’s all about the non physical and your essence, how it intertwines with the physical and how everything is energy.
If spirituality is not another religion, what is it then?

It’s a way of living. You could say the same for a religion, but with religions there are all kinds of rules, do’s and Dont’s, with spirituality its way different.
You see, with rules you have to follow them no matter what, right? That’s the point of a rule at least. But what if following the rule would be unethical or simply unjustified according to your way of living.
Well, you’d still have to follow the rules/laws.

Spirituality doesn’t work like this. First of all it’s very individual, like I said. So two people can both be spiritual with completely different practices and ways of living, and that’s the beauty of it.
At the very basis it’s all about your essence, your soul, your spirit, higher self etc. etc., all these labels... pff, you get the point.

It’s about recognizing and reconnecting with your true self, not the physical illusion that we’ve come to identify with over time
that’s just the outside shell. We never really dive deep into ourselves, when we do often times we pay someone else to do it for us like a psychologist or psychiatrist.

An individual that practices any form of spirituality
will usually be able to work their problems out themselves, this often times is the best way because another person cannot heal you. Yes you read that right, another person cannot heal you. There are healers but they are simply the catalyst for your own energy.
Then we come back to rules, religions have so many rules it’s like being in a fish bowl while you’re in the ocean, you can barely moves an almost anything you do falls under some sort of rule or law and bam, you’ve sinned. Now, I’m not trying to mock all religion here,
please keep that in mind, I’m simply. Stating that most religions are keeping you from finding out who you truly are.

Spiritual practitioners don’t really have rules, they have moral standards and believes. The biggest one is that all life is worthy, no matter how big or small,
everything is connected, everything is one.

This one belief is pretty much all you need no?

Let’s break this one belief down.

- All life is worthy
- Everything is connected
- Everything is one
Alright, so if all life is worthy you should treat all life with the same amount of respect and curiosity, no exceptions.

If everything is connected, that means that whatever happens to anything, affects everything.
And then, if everything is fundamentally one, whatever you do to anything “outside” of yourself, you do to yourself.

These are not rules, you see,
these are universal laws. You can ignore them and do whatever, but you won’t once you find out they are truth, because why would you? You don’t hit yourself in the face for fun don’t you? Well we do it to others, which means -knowing these laws- you do it to yourself too.
The biggest difference between religion and spirituality is that with religion you do what you’re told, with spirituality you do what you know is right.

Alright, enough comparison between religions and spirituality.
Why else would you want to practice spirituality?

Like I said, you reconnect and remember your essence. Most humans think they’re just a human and nothing more. While in fact that’s not true at all, you’re a multidimensional spiritual being living a temporary human experience to
learn and grow.

That’s quite a mouth full isn’t it, “a multidimensional spiritual being”.

We come here -to Earth- to learn and experience, Earth is a school (you can learn more about that here).
One of the things we have to deal with when coming to this school is “the veil of forgetfulness”, in short this means that you don’t remember anything from before you came here. Why? Well there ain’t much to learn if you know the answers is there.
So by practicing spirituality you can remember things that lay behind the veil, you can remember what you came to do and why, you can remember who you actually are and stop worrying about every little thing.
It’smuch harder to do all of these things in the physical compared to the astral realms, this is why most souls don’t even try. They simply are too blinded by all of the distractions around them and so blinded by there ego that they keep creating more stuff to work on instof less
You’re a co-creator, a part of Source/God, by practicing you can remember this and strengthen the connection between you in the physical and Source in the astral.
You might have heard about Atlantis or Lumeria or the Mayans, those were some civilizations that practiced spirituality in the mainstream. Unlike our civilization that mostly practices negative energy without even knowing it.
Those civilizations were very advanced, eventually some of them got blinded by power and destroyed themselves. But my point is that when practicing -with lots of discipline- you can become what most would call a superhero.
We’ve been told that humans are weak, we need all kinds of outside help and are barely capable. We need medicine (poison) to heal, we need calculators and computers to think for us etc. etc.
Let me jus tell you this, you’re what you think you are. That’s the paradox of this reality, your beliefs keep you restricted. Learn more about that here.
We’re not weak, we can heal ourselves, we can calculate pretty much anything, we have lots of strength in places you probably didn’t even know existed or worked the way they do. However, we’ve lost our connection (not completely) and thus are having trouble with everything I just
mentioned. Everything is mental, nothing is truly physical.

Spirituality is something that you can’t always physically see or touch. And the further you go and explore, the more you will find that nothing is truly real, everything is an illusion, hologram or dream, it’s all mnt
This is very important, because it makes everything way more flexible. We always say and think that everything is so linear and rigid, things are hard to change and always take lots of time. It doesn’t have to be like that, and it’s not like that.
You’re basically living a lucid dream, nothing more nothing less. Sometimes you dream alone, sometimes your dream involves other dreamers just like your dreams when you go to “sleep”.
Once you accept that it’s all flexible, you can change things however you want and whenever you want, if you know how to go about it. There are universal rules to this you know, like; everything vibrates, cause and effect, rhythmic cycles etc etc.
When practicing spirituality, one can learn these laws and apply them to create desired results. Again, this can be done in many ways, not just one.

It always starts in the mind, no?
Do you get the idea first or do you act first?

You act because you had a thought, no?

It’s all mental, everything.
Spirituality is about flow.

Do you let things flow? Or are you always trying to force your way. Most people force everything and have little patience. Spirituality teaches that everything is right as it should be, divine Synchronicity and timing.
You’ve planned and agreed to whatever happens to you and you know this.

So why stress if you know everything will be alright? It’s all to learn and grow, even the negative experiences, especially the negative experiences
You’d not learn very much if everything was always easy and fun.

Nature doesn’t rush, yet it does what it wants to do. The same goes for us if we let things flow the way life wants to flow.
We -with our human minds- are finite in thinking, THE ALL, the Universe is infinite. So if you’re trying to force things and tell THE ALL how it has to bring forth whatever you’re trying to accomplish, you’re limiting the possibility of it actually manifesting at its full potent
It’s not necessary to think of every single step in a linear fashion, things can happen so much more effectively if you don’t worry about “how” at all. You’d call it a miracle.
Since not your whole soul is experiencing this one life, staying in flow makes more sense. Because you have many parts, it’s just one tiny part of you that’s currently experiencing this lifetime. But the bigger part of you is always helping, we usually label this the subconscious
Thus staying in the flow gives the universe and yourself the space to work, the room to act. If you truly stay present and in the flow state, you don’t have to think as much, you just know what to do, what to say, what you need or where you need to be.
Your higher self, subconscious or over soul.

Sigh, all these labels, pick whichever one resonates the most with you, the meaning in this case in all the same.

This is the last part we will discuss at this moment in time.
A big part of practicing spirituality is reconnecting with you essence, like I said, but more so the part of you that’s not currently in this vehicle (body). We just talked a little bit about the fact that not your whole soul is here, it wouldn’t be possible to get your full self
into a physical body of this density, it would instantly disintegrate and simultaneously destroy everything around it, simply too much energy. However, by practicing meditation and other activities like
Qigong you can create a better flow in the body to let more of your soul come in and express itself. This means that you’re letting more of yourself in and thus become more and more authentic.
At the moment Earth is undergoing an evolution to higher density, at the same time humanity is ascending as well. The higher the frequency the more of your true self can come in, and eventually your whole body is one of light (this is a gradual process of course).
When you’re more connected with your true self everything will just work better, your body feels less dense, your thoughts are more clear, your stamina is higher, your reflexes are much quicker and the list goes on.
So in short spirituality is a widespread practice that touches pretty much everything in your life. It’s very beneficial for your overall wellbeing, and even the wellbeing of those that are around you.
This is because you have an aura around you that spans several feet/meters. Wherever you go this energetic field comes into contact with all that’s around you, including other life forms. Your energy influences other energy, it’s very contagious.
Thus, if your mood is good, you can make others feel good. And of course the other way around, you can spread whatever energy you like, and lots of people do. Some feed off of drama, others off of pain, hate, fear, or positive energies like joy, happiness, abundance etc. etc.
Please remember that energy is very contagious, please also remember that you don’t have to pick up and hold on to all of the different energies that surround us. You can choose to observe and thus not take it all with you, it’s not necessary to identify with everything.
Thank you for taking your time to read and listen, I hope you learned something.
