If the UK leaves the EU with a new trade agreement, then it is relatively straightforward to transpose it and conclude a similar FTA btw Turkey and UK. But even that is likely to be in stages. First FTA covering goods. Then FTA for services and agriculture.
But in case of hard Brexit, there is a real difficulty. By virtue of its customs union with EU, Turkey cannot finalize an FTA with the UK. Turkish exporters will then face tariffs in the UK market.
I would venture that there would be a constituency in Ankara pushing for an FTA with UK no matter what. In clear violation of the CU. Interesting times
