Up for an interesting bureaucratic story from Maharashtra?

Meet @AshwiniBhide. She was the MD of MMRCL (Mumbai Metro Underground) and hugely credited for making the project a success.

Fighting multiple land acquisition issues, bureaucracy, and usual red tape.
Keep in mind, they're boring tunnels underneath the most dense areas of Mumbai. The project is an engineering marvel. Perfectly following deadlines and progressing at excellent pace.

But then, politics happened. State elections were close and #AareyShed became the center point.
Unfortunately, Shiv Sena played around with people's decision, broke an existing alliance, and teamed up with the devils.

Obviously, all major MH Infrastructure projects were very very close to @Dev_Fadnavis. And, the new government had to make a point.
So, the first person to be kicked out was @AshwiniBhide. Simply because she stood against the useless Aarey opposition. The Thackeray's made their point.

The lady who deserves to cut the red ribbon of MMRCL, got a transfer. Work hard, you'll be pissed on in India.
Fast forward to Corona, the same government that took away her five years of hardworking and commitment, called her up and made her Additional Commissioner of BMC due to rising positive cases.

She came back, led the strategy, control room, and more. Giving her 100% again.
Hypocrisy at its best. Six months ago the father-son duo were busy blaming her for an alleged crime (illegal cutting of trees).

Now, she's the one who saved their face amid a pandemic.
If you ever think why India is still considered a third world country where talent is eager to jump ship and migrate, remember this story.

People with skills are not valued. Lick and lose your spine. You'll survive only then.
