1/3 I believe the heart and soul of a nation is its historic & cultural heritage, with which hopefully the people engage. The 5 Celtic language nations forming majority of the British Isles have their own languages. #Kernewek, the #Cornish language is growing from near extinction

2/3 and not yet out of complete danger, but others are still under threat. #Scotland, so politically active on the independence front could lose an important part of its unique identity with just 1% now speaking #Scottish Gaelic, limited mainly to the Highlands and Western Isles.

It would be great if more was done to share and encourage use of this language to help stop it dying out.
