God gave you FAMILY FIRST.
Not just in word -- like many do, and yet spend very little to no time with them (except to escape NCAA sanctions or to obfuscate some other transgression that they'd like to keep hidden) -- but in ACTION.

Yet... what do many of us (and this isn't a judgment or condemnative thread, just a call for introspection; we are all guilty of these things to varying degrees) do?

-- Send kids off to "day care" or "head start" or MK Institutions (school) for most of their waking hours each day.
-- Spend all day slaving at jobs to subsidize what have recently been proven to be HOLLOW AND EMPTY existences.

-- Focus more on the lives of other people; people hailed as "celebrities"... most of whom (particularly those on TV and other mediums the most) have done unspeakable and uneviable things to obtain their place and "riches."

-- Become degenerate gamblers, instead of using that money for things that actually enrich your life, but your family and children's lives, or the lives of others, given how many will find themselves in dire straits by the end of this climatological summer

(and I warned people this time last year and again back in January that PERILOUS TIMES WERE COMING SOON and no one even commented on such posts.) Of course, the previous account was suspended and cannot be referenced now.

-- Become nothing but sports junkies whose entire lives revolve around any and everything sports. This is NOT to suggest that liking sports is wrong, but when this and any of the aforementioned take the place of family, it is a problem.

The issue comes in when forced to realize -- through current circumstances and the MUCH, MUCH WORSE that will come before things get better (for those who believe and are called according to His purpose), or otherwise -- how far off the trail many of us have gone.

There are people who did not appreciate the fact that God has blessed them with a faithful wife or husband (only to whom this applies, of course;

this isn't the space to rant and complain about deadbeat parents or someone who cheated on you after you stole that same person from someone else who was cheating WITH YOU).

There are people who did not appreciate the fact that God has blessed them with children to love and dote upon, instead killing some at birth, or still failing to take advantage of the time available to spend with them while there is still a sliver of freedom to be had.

While also there are people who want(ed) families and have none, who wanted children and can't have any, or certainly not in position as we speak to start a family.

There are people who, once they had to be in close quarters with the family God gave them, they began to backbite, airing out old grievances, beginning new ones and becoming isolated from one another while at home.

There are people who preach the Word of God, stress the importance of family, but do nothing but gossip about their own immediate family members, mock them via imitation to their faces and to the faces of others, claim to love their family,

but only on their controlling and manipulative terms, those who -- at a time where being transparent and smoothing over past ills is a good idea -- refuse to still acknowledge their long line of transgressions against their immediate family,

despite protestations and simple requests to do so, for the purpose of peace within the family (instead of merely projecting an image thereof to the contrary in public), who also spite others in their family and their experiences in life,

when they had and still have the opportunity to do the same themselves. Look within and get right. There is no room for hypocrisy, as you will be the first to be deceived in a time forthcoming when being deceived will literally cost some their LIVES --

and needlessly so -- if not careful.
Value your family. Not in word. Not keeping up an image and turning into a completely different person at home or behind closed doors. Stop backbiting, stop the mocking, stop the false and baseless gossip about your own flesh and blood.

Stop stirring up discord, when you have been called to be above such (to the professed Christian reading this, not a directive to anyone else).

God gave you family to EDIFY one another in truth. Not emotion. Not to use His Word as a weapon, but omitting the Scriptures that would directly call your own behavior into question. God gave you family to be EDIFIED, as well. Not fractured as a cracked foundation.

This is the exhortation that I have had on my spirit all week, as it has been heavy. I did not want to speak on it until it was time.
Take it up with God if you are offended. That just verifies that it was timely and for YOU.
