To recap: the early Liverpool teams under FSG, managed by Sir Kenny (11/12) and Rodgers (12/13) deserve more credit and respect than they received. There was good process in place already, but the results simply did not materialize. Thus 13/14 seemed to come out of nowhere.
PS: Suarez leaving, Gerrard being old, then Sterling leaving and Sturridge getting injured meant FSG had to put an end to that cycle, falling just short of the PL title and starting again. The second cycle under Klopp has arguably reached its peak. TBD on timing of the next cycle
