The decision between "send kids to school in-person and potentially risk the entire family's health & lives" and "send kids to school online despite knowing it's a suboptimal learning & social environment" is one that is simple for me but not at all easy, if that makes sense.
That said, I sympathize with fellow parents! It's not simple for everyone. Thinking of parents with children who have special needs; parents who have more children than they can handle (basically all parents, lulz); and households w/o a parent/guardian available during the day.
The whole thing just sucks. And of course parents are super judgy of other parents, which adds insult to injury. Make the best decision you can, y'all, and understand that other familities are different---and we all need more kindness and compassion than usual nowadays.
(P.S. yes, a famility is the collective noun for covfefes.)
