Small group gathered at a shopping plaza near the FOP Lodge prepared to protest against VP Mike Pence’s visit. There also some ominous tow trucks watching on the outskirts. The group is heading closer to the union lodge now, where a “Back the Blue” rally is also planned.

At Caroline and Comly, a few dozen protesters are facing a “Back the Blue” rally in support of the police. Police are dividing each side and leaving a fair amount of space between. The pro-police side is fairly larger than the protesting side as of now.

Pence’s motorcade just arrived. Protesters started chanting “Disband the PPD” just as his bus pulled up. The pro-police ralliers attempted to drown out the protesters with “USA” and “Four more years!” chants.
