1/3 we need to stop talking about reopening our schools in the context of getting parents back to work & fuelling our economy. That’s not the purpose of our schools & only serves to at best, cause confusion & conflict & at worst, cause poor, potentially damaging decision making

2/3 we need to focus on reopening our schools w the purpose of providing education for our children. Then we can start considering what those Ed experiences ought to incorporate & the variety of spaces those experiences can be based in. We need to consider not only the indoors

3/3 but also the outdoor campus. Our towns have a wealth of community spaces that w some creative thinking could serve as learning spaces. We have a rich culture of privileging education in this country over financial interests, let’s make sure those values are evident now.
