Antisemitism is rising in America. Yet it is not treated with the same cancel culture tactics as other forms of racism and bigotry.
In the last few days, @LouisFarrakhan launched yet another antisemitic diatribe, which @Diddy shared with his 15.6 million followers. @DaTrillStak5 said Eagles’ @DeSeanJackson10 was speaking the truth when he posted a fake Hitler quote...twice.
It is the complexity of contemporary antisemitism—which comes from multiple sources—that creates the biggest challenge to combat it. We must call out all sources of antisemitism.
Combating antisemitism is about who we are as Americans, and citizens of this world. Antisemitism is not a problem for Jews to solve alone. It is a societal problem, reflecting the health of our society, and countering it effectively requires all of us.
As AJC CEO @DavidHarrisAJC said at #AJCVirtualGloFo: “We all have a stake in aspiring that this country moves forward, aspires to fulfill its progress, acknowledges the mistakes it’s made along the way, remedies the shortcomings... and we still have a long way to go.”
