I’ll never understand how people think making fun of people for being fat is doing some great justice to society. Putting someone down for their weight makes it worse, and it’s so much easier to just be constructive and help people form diet plans, especially if you care so much.
Alternatively however, people who push “fatphobia” and call for “fat representation” in media make me incredibly uncomfortable. My weight is not a social statement. We don’t need “representation.” Reserve that for oppressed groups, not for people who need help getting into shape.
I understand this topic is hardly important but I’m a bit sick of seeing people who are less than half my size talking about things like “fatphobia” on behalf of everyone who’s actually fat, as if we’re some kind of community.
