Thanks his is the first time since I started shooting photos and videos that I have truly felt like a company has made me consider buying a camera that isn’t @SonyAlpha. (A thread)
*for perspective* I bought my first camera 3.5 years ago and I did extensive research into which camera company looked like it was MOVING FORWARD to lead the camera industry. Hint... at the time, it looked like @SonyAlpha
I know that @SonyAlpha hasn’t necessarily been the best in every aspect or category, but I have been constantly impressed with how they have aligned with what I WANT in a camera. Quality, ergonomics, functions.
The @CanonCanada R5 and R6 release is the first release where I feel like Canon took back the reigns that they had a held of for such a long time in the hybrid shooter market. (The EOS r and rp were close too but just not quite it)
I am VERY excited to see where the mirrorless hybrid camera industry goes now. It’s already been extremely exciting to watch and be a part of and this is only going to push it.
From my point of view... the ball is back in @SonyAlpha’s court now and they can no longer stand on what they’ve already built... with the EOS R, RP, R5, & R6... they’re going to have to make a splash or they’ll start to get buried.
And outside of those two companies as well, I’m excited to see how this kicks everyone’s competitive development into gear.
