God’s given you such a beautiful mind. You have brilliance in that head of yours. Creativity. Such capacity for learning even if school wasn’t your thing. Capacity for insight, analysis, engineering, ingenuity. Don’t waste it.Don’t just fill it with social media garbage & gossip.
What God has called you to do on this earth requires focus. Some quiet. It requires lifelong learning. Ongoing training. We’re being tutored by this world to be unable to concentrate even through the title of an article. I see reviews on books reviewers clearly have not read.
A lifetime goes lightning fast. Can’t make up for lost time but we can determine what we do now. Use that brilliant brain of yours. Love God with it. Ask Him to bring forth its ingenuity. Read good books. Memorize scripture. Poetry. Journal. Draw. Add. Learn a foreign language.
If this helps kickstart somebody, God has taught me along the way to begin the day often by just presenting to him my full self for his full use. I surrender to him my mind, my emotions, my personality, my mouth (though, forgive me, it’s not always obvious) and my physical body.
“Take it, Lord. Make full use of it. On the day you call me home, Jesus, let it be that you can turn the cup of my life upside down & not 1 drop will be left. Make me smarter than I am, kinder, wiser, more creative. Give me the capacity to learn. The capacity to love. To teach.”
I share these things because I want people to make it so badly. I should’ve been a lost cause. I couldn’t see living past 40. Anything I’ve been able to do of value, anything I possess that matters in the least, is because of Jesus. Loaves and fishes. Give him what you’ve got.
