You know, while I do appreciate the support I'm seeing about the blatant antisemitism from DeSean/Jackson, I gotta say that I'm noticing a lot of ppl using "concern" over antisemitism as an excuse to be antiblack, and I'd like to kindly ask y'all to fuck off with that shit.
Jewish people are real humans, antisemitism is a real & serious issue, not just pawns to be used to justify being antiblack or dismissing BLM. I hang out on /r/nba and I'm seeing so many users trying to use us as an excuse to say really racist and delusional shit.
If a few black pro athletes being antisemitic is all it takes for you to stop caring about BLM, I have real questions about just how much you legitimately cared about black lives in the first place. Feels like ppl are jumping on this as an excuse to let their antiblack shit out.
Particularly - if I see one more person claim that a white person wouldn't "get away" with antisemitism like these athletes supposedly are, I will scream. What alternate universe do you live in where white celebs and politicians face any legitimate consequences for antisemitism??
Pewdiepie is still the top YouTuber despite using antisemitism as a punchline and catering to his alt-right fanbase at every possible turn. Mel Gibson keeps being forced on us despite CONSTANT antisemitic conspiracy bullshit & outright calling Jewish celebs "oven dodgers"
Not to mention our president, administration, the fact that politicians and pundits across the spectrum use antisemitic dogwhistles and sometimes outright Nazi talking points without losing their positions or power.

Plus, it's BS to ascribe the views of some radicalized athletes onto the entire black community. NoI is known for actively targeted black celeb men because they KNOW those voices are elevated above lgbtq & female black ppl, who have been consistently calling NoI out for DECADES.
I keep seeing this narrative that "nobody" in the black community, esp the black sports comm, has been calling out this situation. Plenty have, you're just not listening.
