So back in 1993, I transitioned. Eight months later, I detransitioned due to potential homelessness and joblessness. It was detransition or probable death on the streets of a Scottish city. Most difficult, demoralising thing I ever had to do.
But I didn’t give up. I learned my lessons, and I transitioned again soon after when I got all my ducks in a row.

Detransition is not failure, and it’s not a cause for TERF/GC celebration.
Sure, for some, they recognise that they may not be trans after all, or their circumstances may make transition impossible for them. That’s their choice.

For others, as it was for me, it’s a strategic withdrawal. It’s a strategy that may involve losing the battle to win the war.
TERFs and the rest of the GC bowel movement try to use detransitioners as a way to prove that it’s “all a lie” or some kind of fad. But then, the GC bowel movement is just an evangelical front, and we know what hypocrites they are (exhibit one: their support of trump).
Being trans is not what makes life difficult for people. We are who we are.

It’s the attitude of transphobes that makes it difficult.

It’s the grandstanding by religious, public, and political figures that makes it difficult.
Instead of being closed-minded, bigoted, transphobic twats, try a bit of bloody empathy for once in your miserable lives.
