ok so why i chose to do songxiao for The Lovers tarot card instead of wangxian, a thread;
ok so. obviously wangxian is. the main of mdzs & theyre soulmates & married with a SON a whole sizhui but the reason i chose songxiao was bc i felt like there is SUCH a deep bond there that resonates with what the card actually stands for mostly not even in a romantic sense -
so the lovers in the major arcana stands for love (obvs) & relationships but it also stands for choices & values alignment; xiao xingchen and song lan weren’t part of any sects they were just rogue cultivators roaming around night-hunting & they wanted to make their OWN sect -
valuing common thoughts & ideals instead of blood ties; the lovers also stands for making up your own personal opinions about things regardless of societal norms & i think thats what xxc & sl would have done had they been able to do that -
- the lovers also stands for choices; i thought of xxc who broke his vow to never go back to baoshan sanren & begged her to save sl & he GAVE. his eyes to song lan. he CHOSE that. sl CHOSE not to raise his sword so xxc wouldn’t have known that it was he who killed him. CHOICES -
- also stands for harmony & balance of forces and xiao xingchen + song lan = yeah complimentary energies hello bright moon and gentle breeze & distant snow and cold frost..
- i know that mxtx said that nobody other than wangxian are gay but 1+1=fish and i choose to ignore that statement because it does not make a LICK of sense.. you can't call song lan “xxc’s most intimate friend of cultivation” and then say That.. fish... ok thread over
