In this thread i will talk about the FH chip and when it's the best time to use it. lots of managers (including myself) have the FH left and are unsure when to use it.

i'll take a look at all GW's left, the fixtures and i'll end with a ranking with the weeks to use the FH from
to
Other things i’ll discuss are
- Games to target
- Differentials for that GW
- Pros + Cons for that GW
- Possible XI for that GW
- My advice for that GW

In my opinion the FH should be used to avoid problematic GW's like BGW's or DGW's. Since we don't have any of them anymore i would say the FH is best to use when the 'template team' don't have that many great fixtures or you'd use it if your team look bad for that particular week
Lets take a look at the template teams. The formations used the last weeks are formations with at least 4 midfielders, with the 3-5-2 being the most used recently. Looking ahead at our options and the fixtures i believe a 3-5-2 / 3-4-3 or maybe a 4-4-2 are the best for FH
Imo the current template for each position looks a lot like this
GK: Pope is the most owned, although many GK’s are currently used by managers but their ownership is way lower than Pope
GK: Pope is the most owned, although many GK’s are currently used by managers but their ownership is way lower than Pope
Def: TAA and Doherty are in 75%+ of teams. The other 3 defenders are mostly rotation options: Lascelles/Taylor/Sheffield defenders/Another Wolves defender or Aurier/Digne/Azpi as a guarenteed 3rd starter
Mids: Looking around at the teams pretty much everyone has 4 or even all 5 out of these:
Bruno/Martial
KDB/Sterling/Foden/Mahrez
Willian/Pulisic
Salah/Mane
Son
Bruno/Martial

KDB/Sterling/Foden/Mahrez

Willian/Pulisic

Salah/Mane

FWD: There are few forwards highly owned atm
Rashford/Greenwood
Jimenez
Ings

You don’t want to use your FH when all players named above are already in your team and have good fixtures. This is why GW34+ isn’t included in this thread because a FH squad for this week basically is the same team as everyone already has, so a FH would be a waste
Lets take a look at GW35+ first. These are the GW35 fixtures
Games to target:
LIV - BUR
SHE - CHE
BRI - MCI
BOU - LEI

Differentials for FH in 35+
- Antonio/Bowen v Norwich

Cons for using FH in 35
- United/City/Liverpool all have great fixtures and likely to be already in your team
- Not that many options except for MCI/LIV/CHE/UTD because Spurs play Arsenal and Wolves play Everton

- Liverpool/City have nothing to play for and uncertainties regarding possible rotation could be tough to manage

Pros for using FH in 35
- your team might be full with Wolves/Arsenal/Spurs players + DCL/Ings/SHE defenders/BUR defenders. FH would be a great way to get rid of them and focus on LEI/CHE for example
- Easy games for big hitters: MCI/LIV/UTD
- CHE/LEI have lots to play for

My advice on FH in 35+
If you still own 5 or more players from TOT/ARS/BUR/SOU/SHE and maybe WOL/EVE after before GW35+ it might be worth it but i’d stay away. Mainly because of the lack of amazing options with Vardy being the only reliable LEI option and CHE playing SHE (A)

Cons of using FH in 36+
- FA CUP the weekend after. MCI only 2 full rest days between BOU/ARS meaning i’ll expect a lot of rotation. CHE have 4 rest days and have to play for top4 like UTD so i’d expect a full strength 11 from those 2 teams
- FH might look like your own team

Pros of using FH in 36+
- Tough game for LIV meaning you can profit of of that by going for other players while everyone not on a FH has LIV players in their team

My Advice on FH in 36+
If your team has no CHE/TOT players and if you have triple/double LIV you don’t want v ARS and want to switch them for Ings/Everton or Wolves players this looks like a decent week.

Another reason could be to ditch all City players if you have 2/3 that are likely to get a rest v BOU
If you have a strong 11 with lots of CHE/WOL/EVE/UTD/TOT already i’d skip this week for FH

My Advice for FH in 37+
Unless your team is absolutely stacked with LIV/CHE/LEI/TOT players i can’t see a reason to use FH in this GW

Cons for using FH in 38+
- Chelsea - Wolves and leicester - United play eachother for possible top4 spots: expect close games

What week is the best way to use FH? This is my ranking from the best week (
) to use it to the worst week (
) This obviously depends on your current team but in general this is how i feel about when to use the FH chip
GW38+

GW35+
GW37+

I hope this helped you make the decision on when to use your FH.
Obviously it depends on your own team but these were my thoughts about it

Are very much appreciated
