On Hate

As I said, that was only a superficial take, let's start with the real one.

I advocate for what most people would agree, that hate is evil, however, for different reasons than what is usually thought.
Hate is evil because it's bad for YOU, the one who's feeling, not the hated.
The average person thinks hate is evil for the reason that: it harms or offends the target of hate. That's not inherently evil, at all. It may be evil, but it's not a necessary factor.
There are people who deserve to be harmed, after all. Rapists and pedophiles, for example. Would it be evil if a dad, full of hate, deeply injured a pedo who raped his daughter?
Not in all cases the thing or person hated is innocent. But in all cases the hater is harmed, by his own fault.
To proceed we have to ask, what is hate? It's no different than love, in a certain respect. Both are feelings of intensity. Both are PASSION. What discerns them is that on love you like what you're thinking, on hate though...
Well, it's all a matter of attention. Hate = extreme concentration (attention) on the idea of something negative, at least, for you.
So, this passion makes you think ceaselessly about the object of hate. The result, if the process is uninterrupted, is that you end up absorved, not by the hate but by the target of the emotion.
The passion operates, subtly, a transformation onto you.
The idea (of the hated) impregnates your mind, it makes you ill: why is this disgrace everywhere? Asks your soul.
The illness may have different effects, depending on the infinites circumstances. However, reducing to a intelligible level, two things can happen.
1. It simply attacks your system, trying to stop it's functioning.
2. It infects your system, like a zombie virus, and proceeds to make you one of them (you continue to function, but working for your enemy).
Considering the former possibility, the thought, said illness, will make you feel bad: feelings of depression, panic, impotence, etc, which will hinder the proper functioning of your system.
For the latter, I'll quote Nietzsche: "He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And if you gaze long into an abyss, the abyss also gazes into you."
In this case, if you firstly hated an idea, now you agree with it. If you firstly hated a person, now you're similar to him. Hate makes you become what you once sweared to destroy.
So, thou shalt not hate, is my advice.
Get rid of it, as soon as possible. You can destroy it immediatly, however this option is most of the time not possible so ignore the thing that you hate. Just don't be carried away by the emotion.
Well, I think that's it. Thanks for reading.
