I have been dealing with the impostor syndrome on/off for as long as I can remember...

A thread🧵 on how to go about thinking and dealing with it 👇
1. Understand that it happens with everyone, irrespective of their talent/age/experience/gender.

2. Start to think of your domain as a pool of knowledge and everyone has bits & pieces of it. Nobody has it all.
3. It helps to understand why and when the self doubt started to creep in. Think of the root cause of the feeling.

4. Once you have that figured, reach out to others in the same field and talk about it.
5. One thing that helped me a lot was to accept the fact that I don't know everything and never will.

6. Once you accept that, it becomes easier to reach out to people for help and support.

7. Never have a problem admitting you don't know something.
8. The more open you're about it the easier it becomes.

9. One of the biggest mistakes I did was to not talk about it and not accept it.

10. Build a great network of peers who you can talk to about this without feeling uneasy
11. Lift each other up

12. Help someone who reaches out to you for the same.

I am always available if you need someone to talk to without any judgement... !
