"respect all skaters" doesn't mean what u think it does, I do respect all* skaters, I respect the hard work they put into their career, I respect how intense their training is, I respect how unbelievably difficult it is to just the skate for the judges nvm full arenas
that's what respect all skaters means, it means don't tag them in discourse, it means don't harass them on social media, it means clapping when they've finished their program, it means making an effort to watch their programs so u can see their hard work
"respect all skaters" does not mean "ignore every inequality in the sport that bolster certain skaters and contribute towards increasingly blatant biases in this Subjective sport where the judges/feds hold all the power just because my fave benefits from it"
and it certainly doesn't mean "ur not allowed to get angry because my fave benefits from it" bc where, in all of that, is the respect for my fave who is actively used /to/ prop his competitors up, or for skaters who will never have a chance to podium because of those inequalities
