People often think the children of cosmopolitan elites are sent to the best private schools in the US/UK/Switzerland. In reality, schools such as Le Rosey in Switzerland (most expensive in the world) cater mostly to children of royal and noble families.
If you want to truly understand where the cosmopolitan world leaders of the future are being taught, your attention should be towards schools such as UWC. Anyone that has taken the IB program has heard of UWC, theyre famous for their high entry and academic standards, yet
simultaneously extremely progressive and internationalist values. They haven't been around for long at all, and look at their notable alumni list already. Keep in mind that this is just UWC schools, the alumni from all IB schools is way, way higher.
People often say that changing the both the content and system of education itself are essential to change the ideological landscape of a country's rulers. However, the IB program exists independent of any education reform bill.
Countries are used to having elite control, elite schools, etc, it's not a new phenomenon. What is new, however, is the internationalisation of such schools, making them far harder to control, and more ideologically conspicuous
