I don’t know who needs to hear this but please stop asking random Black people for absolution/forgiveness for wrongs you committed against other Black people.

I mean, as always, I only can speak for myself. but *eye* cannot forgive you for racist things you did or said in, say, high school. and I don’t even really want to hear about them, or how you didn’t know better, or how you only just now realized Black people are fully human.

I really just had a white classmate lament to me that “No one ever taught us how to interact with black people” and I’m so flabbergasted that I genuinely do not know how to respond.
