Even after watching the 6-part behind the scenes Frozen II doc on Disney+, I still have so many questions. It’s a fascinating miniseries about a great movie, but QUESTIONS ABOUND.
Does the father just have no idea who saved him as a kid, even though his wife kinda told him a long time ago?
Why does everybody blame Elsa for waking the spirits??? We clearly already see Gale/Gail in the opening scene. You’re telling me Elsa awakens four nature spirits by just naming them??
Lieutenant Mattias tells Yelena she’s encroaching on his dance space and we just never return to that idea?? What a missed opportunity!!
Anna and Kristoff have like one miscommunication about when they’re leaving and he goes full 80s power ballad? (this might honestly be my favorite song ngl)
There’s another version of Frozen II that’s a straight up horror movie. Nature turns on the people, trapping them in a forest for 35 years?? That’s some evil Groundhog Day stuff.
SPOILER ALERT: I really don’t understand how the fifth spirit is just... Elsa? You’re telling me the five spirits are Air, Fire, Water, Earth, and... Elsa? Ice? Like how tf does that make sense at all? Did you not watch Captain Planet at all??
So if the voice is who it is, how does the ice gecko hear it?
Becca and I just decided that Ahtohallan is some mix of Purgatory/Transfiguration for Elsa, although I’m sure we’re not the first to think this. This has been your daily theology tweet.
