The story we need to tell about Alberta is not one of obligation to shareholders or lowering Corp tax to lower than already being lower...
The story we need to tell is one of possibility.

Alberta was a place Canadians flocked too because they could build a beautiful life here.
We are a place that understands and respects the nature of risk. Oil and Gas is high risk /high reward. So is tech. So is film. So are so many things worth doing. Our culture gets that and has a history of fostering it.
We are place that does community like no other. Truly. People move to Calgary and build incredible networks of friends and associates in a heartbeat. It is open and accepting- far more than the current provincial leadership would lead you to believe.
When our communities face adversity - floods/fires- the whole becomes a powerful force of supportive connectivity. Strangers spend hours bailing each other out and sloshing through mud.
You can build a life in Alberta without the crushing debt it takes to finance a home in other major centres in Canada. This remains true. Yes we are suffering from the province downloading prty tax but we still remain infinitely more affordable for the average family than Van/Tor
We have a truly educated workforce. We need to build that up and up our investment in post secondary education / not strip it down - but that is because it is already who we are. It’s not a fantasy to want to be a highly educated population- it’s what made us awesome.
I haven’t covered it all - but what are the reasons you think people should come to Alberta? What are your hopes for this place? I might shit on this govt but I refuse to denigrate my province.
