Let me give you a thread about how selfish decisions like this have affected my personal life.
About a week ago (I think), a 50+ year old man wanted to catch some tail at a bar. He catches COVID. Not a shocker. https://twitter.com/connorasheets/status/1279408460950577153

He then hands-down the virus to his son. His son (who doesn’t know his dad has COVID and hasn’t felt sick) goes to work and interact with his friend/coworker.
Afterwords, the son starts to feel weird and tests positive for COVID. Being responsible (unlike his dad) the son calls his job and the friend he interacted with that day.
This friend lives in a home with four other people....One them being my fiancé Michael. The friend got tested and won’t get his results back until Monday or Tuesday.
The friend calls Michael and lets him know that he was exposed to COVID-19. But before Michael gets word of this, he goes to my parents house to help fix something.
My mom is a healthcare worker.
My dad’s immune system is severely compromised by diabetes, kidney failure.

So not only did I not get to see my fiancé this holiday weekend. Because I gotta wait 14 days, I may not see him for our 10 year anniversary.
I’m praying I don’t lose anyone to this disease. I really am.
If my mom goes, there will be no one to help my dad at the house.
If my dad goes, he will miss the birth of his first grandchild.
If Michael, the love of my life, goes.....I have no words. Just pain.

Please, please wear your masks. Your selfishness unravels people’s whole lives
