The government can create money from keystrokes. The bank of England has engaged on a huge amount of quantitive easing. The bank of England is owned by the government. Therefore the government can create currency from thin air.

Given the above, it is clear to see that no amount of tax paid by the rich, or by the poor, can have any bearing on the governments ability to implement policy.
So taxing the rich more will NOT help pay for coronavirus. its illogical to say it will.

This is so important you get this. Get past your own bias's about having to tax the rich to pay for stuff. Because they are preventing the Left get to power.
By pushing this line, the rich who are powerful, will do what they can to destroy progressive policy. Thats what they do

Tax's have other purposes. One of which is to reduce the huge amount of inequality we have now in society. This inequality itself threatens the quality of life by the many.
As such, the rich should be taxed far higher than they are now, *regardless* of government policy.
