Right now, I am sick of people on the FB education pages laying into those that give their time, resources and support to their national (and international) colleagues.
People such as @SPryke2, @Mathew_Lynch44 , @SaysMiss , @fod3 , @shadylady222 (amongst countless others) 1/
have saved me so much time in resource creation, and have fed me so much subject knowledge in the form of free CPD that they have generously given their time for. These people are not 'martyrs' or 'the reason we are all burning out'as has been referred to on some posts 2/
but, instead, generous and wonderful human beings who give their hard work to others to benefit them. Nobody does this to seek 'celebrity status' or become a part of the 'Twitterati'(actual quotes). We are all one team, and are in this together.

I cannot thank people like 3/
those listed above enough for their contributions to resources, CPD commitment, network efforts such as creating the amazing platform that is @LitdriveUK and @Team_English1 and @BrewEdClee et al.
The generosity of other teachers has made my work/life balance so much better 4/
and, if anything, listening to them and using their resources has given me more time -not less- with my family.

I cannot tolerate malice in the form of comments. These people are being kind in giving their time/resources/energy. The least they deserve is for us to 5/
reciprocate that very kindness.
One last thing: just because somebody has a big following on social media does not automatically make that 'arrogant' or 'toxic', nor does it mean that they long 'to be celebrities'. Most of the time, it means that they have earnt respect 6/
as a direct result of their kindness their supportive acts and their generosity.

I feel better now, and shall step down off my soap box.
