I also want to address the definitions and descriptions of Zionism. A personal definition of Zionism a person holds doesn’t change the fact of the ideology and the settler-colonial nature of every denomination. You CANT be pro-Palestine if you identify with Zionism. There’s a (6)
difference between having connections to a space, and then supporting an ideology premised around ethnic cleansing and settler-colonialism. There is no justification in building security at the expense of a people’s permanent disenfranchisement and insecurity. That being said (7)
I am not impressed by anyone voicing their stand against annexation but justify Israel’s occupation of Palestine. Especially liberal Zionists. The foundation that led to annexation was a campaign to dehumanize Palestinians, victim blame us for being occupied, etc (8)
