This doesn't just mean going "aros are valid!"; it means interrogating our society's fundamental assumption that everyone will end up with a long-term romantic partner (maybe of the same gender, in gay-friendly places) https://twitter.com/scretladyspider/status/1278844506264285190
It means:
- Making sure everyone can afford housing on their own, rather than assuming there will be two incomes to pay the mortgage/rent
- Expanding care networks so that people don't have to have a romantic partner to help them through hardship
- Creating ways to designate legal partnership/give specific legal rights without the assumption of romance (like marriage assumes)
- Accepting that people who don't get into long-term relationships are capable of other forms of commitment, and of caring about other people
- Kicking the shit out of the idea that you can't be happy or fulfilled in life unless you're in a romantic relationship

And more! this is a core part of our social structure! It affects goddamn everything!
There's no edit button so more yelling! Social support for single parents is a goddamn aromantic issue! We need to stop assuming there will be two parents (in a romantic relationship) and build structures to support single parents more!
