John Bolton cited my interview with Venezuelan Pres. Nicolás Maduro in his book.

But Bolton deceptively claimed Maduro’s accusation was triggered by the failed 2019 US humanitarian aid stunt he spearheaded.

In fact, Maduro was referring to an August 2018 attempt on his life.

Bolton claimed Maduro accused him of trying to kill him because he was "troubled" by a humanitarian aid stunt he masterminded.

But Maduro clearly stated in our interview, "I have proof the [August 2018] assassination attempt was ordered by John Bolton"

Interesting that @AmbJohnBolton didn't mention this in his memoir, and that he misrepresented Maduro's direct accusation so deceptively.

So Bolton wildly misrepresented a statement Maduro made to me in order to make himself seem like a strategic genius who had shaken Venezuela's leader with his brilliant humanitarian aid stunt.
