almost every asexual person I've ever met is LGBT+, even without the A. the vast majority of us- at least based on every ace person I know- fall under the LGBT umbrella bc of more than just the nebulous and debatable 'A'.
so I'm always highly confused when I see 'straight aces'-

come up in discourse so much; ace/aro hets who are trying to fake oppression & appropriate lgbt+ spaces. bc tbh I havent met these mythical cishet ace/aros? ajdjjs i'm sure they exist, but a lot of my friends are on the ace spectrum & not a Single one of us is het. many arent cis
so while it is a valid discussion- whether het ppl, EVEN if theyre ace, should be in LGBT spaces- it feels like a very hypothetical & overblown talking point imo, bc how often is cishet ace 'slipping thru the cracks' really even a concern? its disingenuous to keep hammering-
that point, if most of us are not cishet anyway. someone might say, "ok then this is only abt STR8 aces, only STR8 aces aren't LGBT" but even if i agreed that's the the right way to see it, the disdain towards ALL ace people has become broad & personal, so much so that-
many ppl who are ace but also lesbian, for example, don't feel welcome. and I am well aware this is very low on the list of priorities in the world rn. but i just think it's very weird, wanting to exclude lgbt kids from lgbt spaces bc theyre too hard to understand- or "cringe" 
sorry my thoughts on this arent very polished & pretty; it's complicated & I honesty don't know where i stand. but I DO know that even if ppl only meant to say "no str8s allowed", the vitirol towards asexuality has extended to lgbt ppl who happen to "also" be ace so thats...
not great. idk. and I know a lot of ppl would respond by saying "doesnt matter theres bigger problems in the world let alone in the lgbt+ community" but again: ppl can care abt more than 1 thing. not saying this is priority number 1 but I just had Thoughts abt things on my TL...
