In order for our democracy to be fully representative, every voice must be heard in our elections -- this includes the next generation. However, on university campuses nationwide, student voting rates lag behind the national average by at least 12 percentage points.
Leadership Now is taking action in partnership w/ @SLSVCoalition by launching the Ask Your College Challenge. Leadership Now members are competing to galvanize their alma maters to action ahead of the 2020 election by advocating - via letters and calls - to college presidents.
This challenge asks college presidents to 1) make the All In Presidential Commitment to pursue 100% voter participation 2) write and implement a voting action plan 3) sign up for NSLVE and make voting data public, especially racial and ethnic data.
Alumni from colleges across the US have pledged to participate thus far - and we are looking for more. You can join a pre-existing team or be the change for your college and start your own.
