When you just start out on your awakening journey, you will see that a lot of the things that you have been thought growing up are not as accurate as you once thought. Your believes are being challenged, this can be a very disorienting

and tiring time. Because you basically have to relearn a lot of the believes that kept you going for so long.
So in short, being in a spiritual awakening means that you “wake up” to the truth, and you drift away from listening to your ego and start listening more to your soul.

A lot of stuff happens during your awakening journey, but the most common thing you will face, is yourself. Like I said a bit earlier, your believes will start to seem out of place, things you used to love are of no interest to you anym

People disappear from your life and new people will show up.
You will go through a lot of cycles that involve the cleaning of your physical life as well as your mental state and soul. Going through this makes you transform, reborn if you will. Changing from ego based thinking

How long does a spiritual awakening take?
Well.. you might not like this answer, depending on where you are in your awakenings journey. But it never ends.

there is no end to this journey. This is because there is infinite potential and there are infinite possibilities! Of course things will change along the way, as you grow and learn, things might go a bit quicker or easier. But you are never done learning and growing.
And that’s what this is all about, learning and growing. You work out unresolved emotions and feelings in yourself, to then release them and grow. Because you’ve just released so much energy there is room for expansion again and thus you learn and grow again
The different stages / cycles of a spiritual awakening.
this is a bit of a hard topic to get right. I guess you could say there is no right “version” or amount of stages. In different material you read different things, one says there are 4 stages and another says there are 6.

One says this and the other says that, what do You do now? Just observe, read the information, do your research and decide for yourself what is true for you. See what resonates the most with you at this time
Now, I’m just going to keep it simple with 4 stages. I prefer to call them cycles instead of stages, because you can (and will) go through them multiple times.
The situations will be different but the fundamentals of the cycle will still be the same, when you start to see the patterns in this, you can grow and learn very fast
#1 Waking up
Of course, the first thing that happens is you waking up. This is different for every individual, but there is a point where something snaps and you start to become curious. This trigger might be a near death experience, or a family member passing away.

Or just simply you finding out about a certain interest you never knew you had, there is no right or wrong way for this.
There is just simply something that triggers a little flame inside of you, and once you feel that flame being lit, it all starts.

You start to be curious about new things, things you always loved to do become stale now, and things you thought you never loved are of the most interest to you now.
You will see that it can go all over the place, your interests that is.

Then you are completely in love with your new hobby, and a week later you fancy something else. Sometimes not even a week, but the next morning when you wake up, you feel like your interests changed radically overnight. This is all perfectly fine,
even tho it can be very tiring and confusing, you might even feel lost. This is you figuring out this whole new world that just opened up to you, there are so many “new” things, that you want to see and do it all, even tho you don’t really know what it is you want just yet.
#2 Healing & Relearning
After you’ve woken up and you’ve had your first cycle of challenging believes and new information, challenging times and questionable decisions...
It is time to heal and relearn. Maybe you already acted from your soul a bit more lately.

It is time to heal and relearn. Maybe you already acted from your soul a bit more lately.
That is why I wrote questionable decisions above, you see, decisions made from the soul might seem very weird and unusual to your ego and mind. This is because the soul has access to information the mind and ego do not, so it makes decisions that are too big for the human mind
and ego to comprehend, and thus it may start to panic, and whisper in your ear, that maybe this whole awakening thing is not such a good idea.
You have some challenging times ahead. The ego will almost try to fight you if you don’t relearn the way you think and act.

After all, the ego and mind are just trying to protect themselves from the unknown. So if you reassure to your own mind that it’s okay, there is nothing to worry about, you can relearn and rewire yourself instead of working against yourself.
This is key, because the faster you can unlearn your old ways of thinking, the faster you can pick up the new and grow.
The healing cycle can be very emotional because old memories are being brought forward to deal with.

Even memories from other lifetimes and other places than earth might come up and ask for your attention. It can be a very lonely time, and you might feel misunderstood when you try to talk with others about your experiences.
Mood swings and feeling tired are very common during this time, just try to go with the flow and take your time to recharge
#3 Finding the Flow state (your passion)
So now you’ve been on this awakening journey for quite a while, and you feel ready, ready to go do something with yourself.
You have done so much work on yourself, you can almost not believe how far you’ve come already.

Full of ideas and energy to go tackle that next project.

Things seem to go wrong, you feel, like you’re being tested.

The universe will throw some curveballs at you, just to see if you learned from the “past”. To see if you are ready for this next step or if you rather choose to go back and pick up on the old patterns.

This however is not the case, you are working and growing hard and you will get to where you want to be.

It’s hard to describe and put it into words, but you’ll know the feeling when you feel it!
What am I talking about? I’m talking about your passion, the very thing you came for. The one thing that you love to do so much that it doesn’t matter how long it takes,

That is what you want to find, your passion is your life’s purpose. I know finding it is not always easy and may even seem impossible sometimes. But just don’t try to hard, just go and try different things

Maybe you already have an idea of what it is, then you can go build upon that. But if you don’t , just relax and don’t try to force find it, it will not work that way.
Try to keep it simple in your head and you will see that a lot of times, you already have the answer.

#4 Enlightenment / Divinity
At this stage you are the most pure, a lot of people might look up to you and see you as someone special, because you are so called enlightened.

Now, this is true, but it feels and sounds like this is the way the ego would look upon this situation, it’s not as grounded you know.
Nonetheless the meaning behind it stays true, at this point you’ve cleaned so much of your old wounds, your beliefs and assumptions about the

world that you are very much in your own energy right now
We are all divine and infinite souls, most of us are just very dirty, we drag a lot of mud and dirt with us. You collected all this dirt over the years, but never took the time to go and clean it out.

If you do start cleaning this out, your own energy can come through and shine bright like it used to do without all the dirt
Your body is the souls instrument to perceive this universe in, and if you don’t keep this tool clean it becomes a bit out of tune, and thus harder to use

When the body is clean, it’s much more pure, and thus way easier to use. So you will notice that at this point in your journey everything will be more clear, not only your mind, but also your psychic abilities
But unlike popular belief, nothing really special happens at this point. You are just very much in tune with everything around you, and you glow and flow. But it’s not over, like I said earlier, your journey doesn’t end here.

When you think you know it all, you get a new piece of information that makes you start all over again (not fully of course, but there is so much knowledge out there, you can never be done).
