@Sportico asked economist @andyhre to analyze three mid-tier FBS schools. For all three, he found that nearly doubling the amount of non-revenue sports would actually make more money, increase enrollment, increase opportunities for students AND improve Title IX compliance.
This is hyper relevant right now. Covid-19 is creating two major problems for schools -- an enrollment crisis and a budgeting one. Adding sports might help both!
