This is an great pistol for those who are new to firing them and and comes in at an affordable price.

This is an great pistol for those who are new to firing them and and comes in at an affordable price.
What makes it great for beginners:
- .22 cal LM - this ammo is available just about everywhere and for cheap. That means you can buy plenty to practice with and get comfortable with the firearm
- The Compact Size - comes with backstraps for larger hands if you need it.

- Very light: Comes in at 465g with a loaded mag
Warning to new shooters: When a gun like this is very light, the striker fired recoil has less mass to counterbalance the shot so a shooter must be very mindful and pull through the resistance.

Because of how light it is - these are just very fun weapons to shoot and it's accuracy is not atrocious or anything.
But I say practice is key and definitely a great weapon for some plinking. (firing at bottles, cans, & other metallic objects)

Cleaning
Due to the blowback system this gun uses - gas builds up at the back of the frame - I highly encourage cleaning the firearm after every use.
Not difficult to clean also.

Reliability
Now this is the caveat with this gun. The circles I'm in have mentioned some ammo issues and potential slide cracks and a firing out of battery.
I'm willing to bet this was a quality control issue in the early runs because I haven't run into this issue.

As always - I encourage Eye-wear protection and any other precautions you feel is necessary.
The ammo was a bit annoying but I realized that I needed to make sure the top round lays flat in order to avoid some of those issues.
I encourage tapping the magazine a few times.

I suspect that the G44 will prove to be reliable with plenty of common types of ammo.
Certain brands like Aguila Standard Velocity did create an issue. But perhaps it was a one-off.
Small guns can sometimes be finicky with the types of ammo they can take.

This is a great starter weapon and I encourage anyone to get it because frankly it also doesn't break the bank.
