Look, while it could be true, this "Alabama students throw covid-19 parties" story has some major red flags for a moral panic.

The reports are 2nd or 3rd hand, but they allow for outrage at irresponsible young people--an easier target than policymakers or employers.
Obviously, if someone invites you to a "covid-19 party," that's bad, and you should probably have a looooong talk with that person.

But there seem to be a lot more de facto covid-19 parties happening under the guise of reopening the economy (rather than providing relief).
