There are few sights in tennis better than this. I don’t think Djokovic’s angled CC backhand gets enough attention. This angle is ridiculous. You can’t really defend against that.

This shows how tough it was to play against Djokovic in 2011. He could hit crazy angles off both wings. He also hit volley winners and a return winner this match. Staggering completeness of game.

Even in a bad patch of form during the Wimbledon final last year, Djokovic managed to find this shot. Looks easy. Very much isn’t.

And another, struck at a very big moment.

I don’t know any other player that can hit a shot like this. It’s like he’s slamming a door shut, and the angle came out of nowhere. This shot amazes me every time I watch it.
